    Glossary and word list

    Every concept has one approved Turkish and English term. The glossary lists interface terms; the word list gives preferred and avoided wording.

    How to use it

    Section titled “How to use it”
    • For a concept, use the term in the table; do not use the synonyms in the “Avoid” column (I18N-17).
    • If a new term is needed, propose it to the content owner; it is added to this page and to the translation system’s glossary together.
    • Component names are not translated: Button, TextInput, Badge. A Turkish page title may use the descriptive name: “Tarih seçici”.

    Actions

    Turkish English Avoid Note
    Kaydet Save Saklamak, Muhafaza et Makes changes permanent.
    İptal Cancel Vazgeç, Dismiss Leaves without changing anything.
    Sil Delete Yok et, Remove (for deletion) Removes permanently; asks for confirmation.
    Kaldır Remove Sil (for something that can be added back) Takes an item out of a list; the item still exists elsewhere.
    Düzenle Edit Güncelle, Değiştir (as a button) Opens editing mode.
    Ekle Add Yeni ekle Adds an existing thing to a list.
    Oluştur Create Yarat Makes something new.
    Gönder Send Yolla, Submit Passes something to someone else.
    Onayla Confirm Tamam, Evet Makes a decision final.
    Devam et Continue İleri, Next Goes to the next step in a multi-step flow.
    Geri Back Önceki Returns to the previous step.
    Kapat Close Çıkış Closes an overlay or panel.
    Ara Search Bul Search field and button.
    Filtrele Filter Süz Narrows a list.
    Filtreleri temizle Clear filters Sıfırla Removes all filters.
    İndir Download Yükle (for downloading) Gets a file onto the device.
    Yükle Upload Gönder (for files) Sends a file from the device.
    Dışa aktar Export Çıktı al Produces data as a file.
    Kopyala Copy Çoğalt Copies to the clipboard.
    Yeniden dene Try again Tekrar dene, Retry Restarts failed work.
    Geri al Undo İptal et Reverses the last action.

    These terms are used in product screens. Component examples on the documentation site do not use money or payment wording.

    Naming bans

    Section titled “Naming bans”

    Titles, menu labels and component names do not use these prefixes: “Akıllı”, “Sihirli”, “Süper”, “Smart”, “Magic”, “Ultimate”, “Next-gen” (WR-30). The product’s name is never written into the interface; {brandName} is used.
